How do I charge Rogue?

Rogue will automatically return to the docking station but you can manually place Rogue on its base to charge

How long does it take Rogue to charge?

Approximately 3 hours.

What do the indicator buttons on my Rogue mean?

  • Battery
    When solid, Rogue has a full battery.
    When flashing, Rogue has a low battery and will be returning to base.
  • Wi-Fi
    When solid, Rogue is connected.
    When flashing, Rogue is in paring mode, when unlit, Rogue is not connected.
  • Dirt Cup
    When lit, dirt cup is full and should be emptied.
  • Error
    When lit, there is an error. Download the Hoover Home App for specific error notifications.

How often does the filter need to be cleaned?

We recommend the filter be checked after every use. If you notice a buildup of dirt and dust, you should rinse your filter. Ensure the filter dries for 24 hours before re-inserting into Rogue.

When should I replace the filter?

Your Rogue filter is rinsable, which is perfect for long-term use. If you are unable to rinse all of the dirt and dust from your filter, it may require a replacement.

Does Rogue clean all floor surfaces?

Your Rogue works on hard floor surfaces, area rugs and low pile carpet.

Will Rogue fall down stairs?

No! Rogue has sensors to ensure it doesn’t fall down stairs or drop-offs.

Do I have to use the Hoover Home App to schedule Rogue?

Yes. Download the Hoover Home App in order to schedule Rogue by day and time.

Rogue always seems to be in a random exploration mode. What’s wrong?

In order for Rogue to save a map of your floorplan, Rogue needs to be set in Recon Mode which is accessed through the Hoover Home App. If you do not download the app to enter Recon Mode, Rogue will always explore while cleaning your home.

Rogue didn’t save my map even though I was in Recon Mode. What happened?

Rogue needs to make it back to the base in order to save the map. Ensure Rogue begins Recon Mode from the base and nothing blocks its path back to base.

  • Rogue should start cleaning from the base in order to find its way back.
  • Check to make sure there is sufficient space on both sides of the docking station (4ft is recommended).
  • Ensure there is no clutter blocking Rogue’s path back to the base.
  • Download the Hoover Home App and ensure Rogue has the latest firmware update.
  • If the issue persists and all the above have been attempted, relocate the docking station.

Rogue doesn’t appear to be making straight lines. What is it doing?

Rogue will go out to map the area which might appear random at first but then Rogue will choose an area to start cleaning. It will begin by cleaning the outside edges of that area and then will clean the center of that outlined area where you will see the straight lines.

How do I delete a device from the Hoover Home App?

On the “My Device” screen, swipe left on the device you would like to delete. A red trash can button will appear. Press it to delete that device.

My Rogue won’t connect after multiple tries!

  • Delete the Hoover Home App and re-install it.
  • Delete your Rogue from your device screen by swiping left and pressing the red trash can.
  • Factory reset your Rogue but holding the play/pause button for 10 seconds until you hear a beep.
  • Re-set up Rogue in the Hoover Home App.

I haven’t received the verification email for my Hoover Home account. Where is it?

Check your junk mail folder.

How do I change the name of my Rogue?

Click on “More” along the bottom of the Hoover Home App, press “Support”, press “Name Product”.

How do I change the performance settings on my Rogue?

Click on “More” along the bottom of the Hoover Home App, press “Settings”, choose between Stealth, Normal (default) or Beast mode.

How do I clear my map?

Click on “More” along the bottom of the Hoover Home App, press “Settings”, press “Delete Maps” to completely delete your saved map.

How do I register my Rogue?

I keep getting the “Oops! Rogue not detected!” error even though I’ve already connected Rogue.

Completely exit the Hoover Home App and re-open.

Troubleshooting

The dirt cup full error won’t go away even though the dirt cup is empty.

Clean or rinse the dirt cup of dirt or dust. Make sure the dirt cup is completely dry before re-inserting it into Rogue.

My Rogue is showing the error code on the dashboard lid. What’s wrong?

Download the Hoover Home App to get specific error notifications so you know immediately what is wrong with Rogue.

My dirt cup lid fell off!

Don’t worry! It’s not broken, just line the lid back up and snap it back on.

How do I remove the filter?

Pull firmly on the filter on either side to remove.

My dirt cup is stuck in Rogue.

Ensure the dirt cup is aligned correctly in Rogue before inserting. If the dirt cup continues to get stuck in Rogue, please contact Customer Service.

If the issue persists and all the above have been attempted, relocate the docking station

Rogue failed to recharge and continue the mission

Rogue returned to base to recharge in order to go back out to finish the cleaning mission but was somehow interrupted by some type of error

Check the wheels, brush roll, side brushes and suction path to ensure nothing is obstructing Rogue
