You asked...
How often should I change the bag in my cleaner?
The Answer is...
Under normal use conditions, the bag should be changed when it becomes filled to the indicator line on the bag. Certain models are equipped with a "Check Bag" indicator which is activated when the bag becomes full. Certain debris such as fine dust will cause reduced filtration through the bag. Under these conditions, the bag should be changed often.

You asked...
Should my cleaner be lubricated and if so, how often?
The Answer is...
Motors are equipped with bearings which contain sufficient lubrication for the life of the motor. Do not add lubricant to motor bearings. If your model has an agitator, it is equipped with two ball bearings that should be lubricated periodically by a Hoover Factory Service Center or an Authorized Hoover Warranty Dealer - find your nearest location here.

You asked...
When should I replace my belt?
The Answer is...
NOTE: Always turn your cleaner off and disconnect it from the electrical outlet. The agitator belt should be checked periodically for any signs of wear that can result from normal use over time, possibly affecting the cleaning performance of your cleaner. Replacing the belt only requires a screwdriver for most models to remove the bottom plate providing access to the belt and agitator. Refer to your owner's manual for detailed instructions. If you know your model style and cannot locate your owner's manual, check out our on-line owner's manuals for assistance.
